SINGLE MOTHERS IN PROGRESS
Single Mothers in Progress is having its annual Christmas drive to ensure that the mothers are able to feed their children.
These items are needed:
Pasta Sauce, Tooth paste, Mixed Vegetables,Toilet Paper and Paper towels, Baked beans with/without pork, Vienna Sausages, Sardines, pasta, Canned Chicken soup, Cereal, Snacks (cookies, popcorn, chips), Ketchup, BBQ Sauce, Rice white/brown, Flour, Corned beef, Tuna, Feminine Hygiene Products
Body wash and/Bar soaps, Macaroni and Cheese, Canned Corn, Tea and/Hot Chocolate, Cranberry Sauce, Stove Top Stuffing, Gravy, Potatoes, Cake Mixes, Sugar

INTERIM PLACE BOARD
Interim Place operates two emergency shelters for women and children escaping abuse, plus an outreach program.
It needs members for its board of directors.

ENHANCED LANGUAGE TRAINING
Enhanced Language Training (ELT) is available starting January 8, 2015 at COSTI Immigrant Services in Brampton for these professions: Accounting and Finance, Teaching, IT, and Office Administration. Seats are limited.
Free program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
- Canadian workplace language and culture training
- On-line sector specific language and terminology
- Computer upgrading (MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. OR Simply Accounting, QuickBooks and Excel)
- Pre-employment preparation workshops (e.g. resume preparation, interview techniques, workplace culture, ethics, employment standards, goal setting, labour market information, cold calling and networking, etc.)
- Six weeks volunteer placement and ongoing job search support after completion of program
Transportation allowance if you qualify.
